Inspection of ACCOMMODATION LADDERS / GANGWAYS

EXAMINATION AND OPERATIONAL TEST of ACCOMMODATION LADDERS / GANGWAYS , including FITTINGS and DAVITS, required by SOLAS regulations I/7 and I/8
OUR SERVICES :
- During annual survey :
EXAMINE Fittings and Davits and Means of access to deck ( handholds in a gateway or bulwark ladder and stanchions ) for satisfactory condition.
- At every five-yearly survey :
OPERATION-TEST of the Accommodation Ladder, Gangway and Winch with the specified maximum operational load of them.
- TEST with LOAD applied along the length of the accommodation ladder or gangway, AT AN ANGLE OF INCLINATION from horizontal ( upto 30° for Gangway and upto 55° for accommodation ladder ) corresponding to the maximum bending moment of them, without permanent deformation or damage to the tested item.
